Cafe Mambo - Ibiza’s sunset haven
The
release of Cafe Mambo Ibiza 09 on Defected Records later this month
marks a milestone for the world famous Ibiza lounge club. 15 years and
5475 sunsets since it’s launch, legendary Spanish DJ Jose Padilla has
compiled an exquisite collection of sunset tracks to ease people
through the summer months.
Amongst the artists included on the
compilation are Dancing Turtle’s Italian indie-folk darlings Amycanbe,
whose remixed track ‘24 Hours’ is picked out as a highlight by Padilla
himself - “Amycanbe’s ‘24 Hours’ is a very beautiful record, its a
proper electronic chill-out record and I love it, it’s the kind of
record I can play 20 times in a row and not get tired of“. Trust us,
Amycanbe’s music just gets better over time. Check out their debut

tribute from the man who started it all, Jose Padilla.Every year as the
summer officially kicks in we see the release of a whole bunch of
compilations claiming to embody the (true) musical spirit of
Ibiza.There is a very small handful of DJs that could actually claim
this accoladewith complete integrity; they include in their number
legendary DJs such as. Alfredo, DJ Pippi, Jon Sa Trinxa, Pete Gooding
and the man credited for creating the whole down tempo, deep, chill out
sound himself, Jose Padilla.
